Steve was born and raised in Burns Lake, which is a small community in northern British Columbia. He attended Simon Fraser University (S.F.U.) and graduated in 1984, receiving his Bachelor of Arts in criminology. While at S.F.U. he actively worked with probation services, volunteering time with young offenders both in and out of correctional institutions.
Steve attended the University of Victoria Law School. He received his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) in 1987. He completed his Articles with the law firm of Harper Grey Easton & Company in Vancouver and was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 1988.
While at Harper Grey Easton & Company, he developed a practice acting for innocent victims injured in various types of accidents and incidents. In 1993, Steve and his family moved to Campbell River to continue with his personal injury practice.
For the last twenty seven years, Steve has acted on behalf of thousands of injured people to ensure that they receive maximum compensation for their pain and suffering, wage loss, medical expenses and care costs.
His practice deals with auto accidents, motorcycle claims, plane crashes, as well as wrongful death claims brought on by family members who have lost loved ones. He is also very active in the community as a member of the Rotary Club of Campbell River (Noon Club), Past President of the Mount Washington Ski Club and continues to volunteer as a hockey coach with Campbell River Minor Hockey Association for more than 10 years.
Steve is married and has two children. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, skiing, playing hockey, motorcycling, and boating.
